Grampsas, Verdea, Greece, 2021
Grampsas is modern winery built in 2011 by two brothers, Tassos and Christos, aiming to explore native varieties and to put Zakynthos on the world's wine map.
Verdea is a traditional white blend from the island, which was under Venetian rule for centuries. Its name comes from the Italian “verde”, meaning “green”.
On the nose there are aromas of lemon blossoms, citrus, bergamot, jasmine and white fruit. Sweet vanilla and spices, with a peppery ginger feel, complete its aromatic range. It has good body and pleasant acidity
