One of the questions we are most commonly asked during our live wine tastings is "what makes a wine vegan?". The answer is how it is treated during the wine making process. The purpose of fining is to remove all of the tiny particles left over from fermentation out of wine - not of these are harmful, but they can make a wine look cloudy, so by removing them you have a more attractive, crystal clear wine in your glass. Historically, animal products were used - but now many winemakers use non-animal alternatives, which means they can be labelled as vegetarian or vegan.
We thought we would showcase some of our wonderful vegan wines, that also happen to taste great!
