This wine is from a single vineyard called ‘Aetos’ (meaning eagle) at the foothills of Mount Telaithrion, in Northern Evia, one of the largest but least famous Greek islands, despite being very close to Athens. The wine is made by Konstantinos Vriniotis, in a traditional winery built by his father.
On the nose there is exotic fruit such as pineapple and lychee over a mineral background. In the mouth, it feels generous with ripe citrus fruit, nectarine and pineapple notes, it has a substantial body with balanced acidity & minerality.
