Founded in 1997 by viticulturist Makis Mavridis and oenologist Angelos Iatridis, Alpha Estate seeks to produce world-class wines from estate-grown grapes. Its location in Amyndeon, an appellation in Macedonia, is widely recognised for its unique terroir with an altitude of up to 700m. It is one of the coolest regions of Greece with snow in winter, and dry summers; neighbouring lakes moderate the climate, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly while the poor soils provide good drainage creating a slight water deficit. These conditions contribute to the intense colour, concentrated flavours, and distinctive aromas the berries present.

Light yellow with greenish tints. Powerful on the nose with rose petal, floral aromas and sweet spices.
