Produced by Villa Tinta, part of the family-owned Vinhol Oksamytne winery founded in 1998 in the village of Oksamytne (Velvet), Bolhrad district of the Odesa region – a site with historical viticultural roots dating back 120 years to Count Davydov’s vineyard chateau. Today, the winery manages over 550 hectares of its own vineyards plus partnerships for more than 600 hectares, emphasizing indigenous / autochthonous varieties alongside European grapes. Odesa Black is a robust dry red wine made from 100% Odesa Black, an indigenous Ukrainian grape variety exclusive to the Black Sea region’s terroir which has become a real signature grape for Ukraine.
