Over six glasses of wine split into three pairs, we pitch an excellent wine against one that is at least twice the price... and we don't tell you which is which!

Can you tell which costs more? Can the studio team? And which do we all actually prefer? Join us live on April 25th to taste along as we reveal which wine sells for more than twice the price of the other. 

The multi-award-winning Sorted Food are a team of friends from London who, over the past 15 years, have gathered nearly three million subscribers, with fans including Prince William! They come back to TOWTC for their second ever wine tasting event, and you can taste along at home, courtesy of our unique ecoSIP packaging, which lets us post six glasses of wine through your letterbox and present them in perfect condition.

One of their most popular formats is "Pick the Premium", where expensive food ingredients are pitched against their more reasonably-priced alternatives to see if they justify their additional cost, or are just pretentious.

With wines varying in cost dramatically (even if they are made from the same grape variety, in the same place), we thought it would be great fun to explore what factors influence the price and whether they actually taste noticeably better, or whether you are best going for the cheaper option.

The last tasting sold out quickly, and we have a limited number of boxes available, so act quickly if you want to get involved!

The Wines

We're keeping the list a secret to make the experience more fun, but the average retail price is ~£18 and the cheapest bottles are around £10, so there are absolutely no "budget" wines in this! 

All the wines have been tasted by Jamie Smith and Alex Taylor at The Online Wine Tasting Club and by Ben at Sorted Food.

FAQs

Can you ship outside of the UK? Sadly at present, the nature of shipping alcohol around the world means it's very challenging to send a tasting pack such as this, so we can only ship to addresses within the UK.

Can you send us a list of the wines? The Sorted team really want to make sure that the wine details don't leak early, so we're unable to provide this, but we can give you a few generic recommendations of things to try to get a similar experience.

When’s the latest I can order the wines? You’ll need to order by 4th April to absolutely guarantee delivery ahead of the livestream, however you can pre-order the box at any time.

When will the wines ship? We'll start shipping a couple of weeks before the the live tasting event.

Do I need to be in to sign for it? No, we can deliver through any letterbox that accepts a Royal Mail "Large Letter" format pack.

Do I need to be 18 to order this? Yes. By purchasing this product you confirm that you are at least 18 years or older.

Do all the wines contain alcohol? Yes, on this occasion.

Are all the wines Vegan? We will confirm this shortly

What is the mix of wines? 2 x White, 2 x Rosé and 2 x Red.

How good are the wines? Believe us when we say they’re all awesome - bottles of the non-premium wines start at £10 and the premium ones are really special… Some exceeding £30 per bottle! A full bottle of each wine featured would set you back over £100!

Can you share a tasting pack between two? Absolutely! Sharing a pack between two means you get 300ml - aka around two medium glasses of wine. If you're particularly thirsty, of course, feel free to have a pack each, but drink responsibly!

What will I need? A couple of wine glasses each - preferably the same as each other, but we've all been there!

Should I have anything with the wine? We'll provide some recommendations for snacks closer to the time!

Can I buy a full bottle set to share with friends? Absolutely! 

I can't make the live date! You'll get the best experience tasting along live and guessing with the team in the studio, but the video will be available to watch on catch-up shortly after the livestream!
